As most of you know, I have two real passions in life - sports and philanthropy. I can't think of a better way to combine both than participating in the Tour de Cure. So, on March 7, 2010 I'm doing a metric century ride.
Now that I have a break between my BA and grad school, I'm hoping to do more fundraisers.
As I've mentioned, I am insulin resistant (pre-diabetic). I take Glumetza daily (a variety of Metformin) to help regulate my blood glucose lebels and for my PCOS. My mother is also diabetic, and I have a history of the disease in my family. This is a very important cause for me!
So, about my training . . I'm currently tapering for the Disney Marathon on Sunday the 10th. Next Friday the 15th, after a few days of inactivity to recover from the Marathon, my official training for the TDC begins. The Tour training is part of my training for my second crack at Florida Half Ironman.
